Andy Madadian Joined the Global End TB Movement

Dushanbe, Tajikistan - 23 November 2025: 

World-renowned singer and musician Andy Madadian has officially joined the Global End TB Movement as a TB Champion and a Stop TB Ambassador in Tajikistan. The honorary title was presented to Andy during a special ceremony held at his concert in the Akasharif Juraev State Philharmonic Hall in Dushanbe.

The TB Champions Team in Tajikistan brings together some of the country’s most influential public figures and cultural icons to support advocacy efforts and raise TB profile. Current TB Champions include distinguished Tajik artists such as Noziya Karomatullo, Habib Hakimov, Zainura Pulatova, Ruzibek Faizali, Film and Theatre actors Nurullo Abdulloev, Daler Mirkhonov and well-known comedians Muqimjon Abdulfattoev and Jamshed Halim, among others.

Andy Madadian, with millions of followers worldwide, joining the team, marks a significant moment in public health advocacy. Andy’s influence, humanitarian spirit, and broad international reach will help amplify the message that TB is preventable, treatable, curable and no one must suffer or die because of TB.

The ceremony was attended by Jamshed Murtazozoda, Co-Chair of the Global TB Caucus for Eastern Europe and Central Asia; Asliddin Rajabzoda, Deputy Director of the State Institution “Republican Center for Protection of Population from TB”; as well as Stop TB Ambassadors Habib Hakimov and Zainura Pulatova.

In welcoming Andy to Tajikistan, Jamshed Murtazozoda highlighted the timely and impactful nature of Andy’s involvement, noting that the participation of world-famous figures is essential for spreading awareness to accelerate progress toward ending TB globally.

Upon receiving his title, Andy Madadian expressed deep gratitude for the recognition. He reaffirmed his readiness to contribute to ending TB in Tajikistan and worldwide through advocacy messaging, public engagement, and promoting life-saving knowledge on TB.
